Ari Jokelainen

2ND ALTO SAX, CLARINET

Ari Jokelainen is a technically skilled and precise alto saxophonist, who manages even the most complicated bebop patterns and the softest ballads. Besides RTBB, he also plays in Nat Newborn Big Time and Sid Hille Jazz Orchestra. With a thorough knowledge of the jazz tradition and a warm, pure tone akin to Cannonball Adderley, he is one of the leading alto players of Finland.

Ari is also known for his distinguished work as a big band leader and arranger.  Ari reaches saxophone at the pop/jazz degree program at the Metropolia University of Applied Sciences and conducts the JASO big band.
